VTConvent Atrey received the ‘Jury Award’ for innovation in Pre School Education in the World Education Summit 2016 by N K Sahu Economic Adviser, Ministry of Human Resource Development . The project - “Creating Scientific Aptitude in Early Learning Years” - was initiated in 2015-16 under the leadership of Supervisor, Pre Primary, Mrs. Parul Rajput.
School initiated “Teaching beyond Classroom” (to transcend the conventional ‘textbook’ teaching and to reach beyond the confines of the classroom ) strategy in the year 2013-2014 linking it to the new initiative,of the session 2015-16 “Creating Scientific Aptitude in the Early Learning years”. It advocates the underlying vision to make kid’s to experience the world as an essential part of their learning and skill development. Students are given hands on activity based learning through guided exploration. The activities help them develop problem solving attitude in students .
The World Education Summit 2016 was held at Delhi on 5th and 6th August 2016. VTC Atrey layout was nominated in two categories. Innovation in Pre-School Education for their project –‘Creating Scientific Aptitude in Early Learning Years’ and Innovation in Pedagogy in Primary for their project – ‘AStep Beyond’.
The conference of World Education was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister , Jharkhand Shri Raghubar Das ,Mr H E Tomaz Lukasz, Ambassador , Embassy of Poland..It was attended by Mrs AbhaMeghe , Director, Meghe Group of School as a keynote speaker on “ Building a successful Educational Brand”. Madam spoke about the stand alone goal on quality education which is vital to any sustainable development Institution. She reiterated improvement in student outcomes and transitions to and from school through parent engagement , quality teaching and learning environment. Mrs. Rekha Nair, Principal VTC Atrey layout as Speaker on “ Visualizing the future of Learning in the schools” the key discussion points were envisioning the future of educational developments where information , communications technologies and the increasing use of mobiles devices will change, both the need and practice of learning and teaching .
